Terms of service
The rules for using 1link.sh. Plain language, and short enough to read.
What this service does
1link.sh turns one short link into the right destination for whoever opens it: the App Store on an iPhone, Google Play on an Android phone, your own site for everyone else. It also hosts a public page listing the links you choose.
The service is run by 1link.sh. Creating an account or opening a link means you accept these terms.
Your account
You need a working email address. Keep your password to yourself; anything done through your account is treated as done by you. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has got in.
One account is for one person or one organisation. Do not resell access and do not create accounts in bulk.
What you may not do
Do not point a link at malware, at phishing, or at anything that tries to take over the device that opened it. Do not use the service for content that is illegal where you are or where we are, for sexual content involving minors, or for harassment.
Do not impersonate another person, brand, or handle. Do not show us one destination and real visitors another. Do not use automated traffic to inflate click counts, and do not probe or overload the service.
Your links and pages
Your links, your page text, and your images stay yours. You give us only what running the service needs: storing them, serving them to visitors, and generating preview images and QR codes from them.
You must have the right to link to and publish everything you put here. Deleting a link or a page removes it from the service; daily totals that no longer identify anything may remain.
Suspension and removal
Anyone can report a link or a page, signed in or not. We read reports, and we may remove content or suspend an account that breaks these terms. When something is actively harming people — malware, phishing — we act first and explain afterwards.
You can delete your account yourself at any time, from the settings screen. We may close an account that has broken these terms repeatedly, after writing to the address on file.
Plans and limits
The free plan limits how many links and pages one account may hold, and how far back traffic history goes. Larger plans are not on sale: you can join the waitlist, nothing is charged, and no payment details are asked for.
We may change the limits. If a change would take away something you already have, you hear about it first.
Availability
We aim to keep the service up and fast, and we publish measured uptime and real redirect times on the status page rather than a promise. We do not guarantee a level of availability, and we may change or withdraw parts of the service.
Maintenance, a failure at our hosting provider, or an attack can all take the service offline. Your links start working again as soon as it is back.
Liability
The service is provided as it is, with no warranty of any kind. We are not liable for lost profits, lost data, or other indirect loss, and our total liability is limited to what you have paid us over the previous twelve months — which today is nothing.
Nothing here removes liability that the law where you live does not allow to be removed.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top changes when we do, and a material change is announced on the service before it takes effect. Carrying on using the service after that means you accept the new version.
